It's all and well to debate what's faster BUT can you get the brush mower attachment for the Rappy?? Didn't think so!!!
Just kidding by the way. I only just noticed a few days ago the uncanny resemblance between a V and a Lawntractor/JD Gator the other day when someone posted a pic of the V in green .. LOL
Still a wicked cool machine for an auto ... especially with the custom lava-red plastics

Neither is fast, neither is slow. Take 2 stock V's and a stock Raptor, and 1 of the V's will probably win. Take 2 Rap's and 1 V, and one of the Raptors will win............It's a never ending cycle, no matter what you compare. Oh, yeah, the DS is probably ALOT faster, tho

Hey guys!...Here we go again...
As a proud owner of a V force, I can say that the Raptor is definately faster........STOCK.. When you start doing mods like clutch kits, pipes and primary spring changes to the V, the story changes. Dont rule out the V, it has alot of potential. Kawasaki tuned the stock clutch for a wide variety of riders from beginner to intermediate. I would like to hear from raptor riders who have raced a V with clutch mods and pipes, but something tells me those raptor riders won't be responding to this post. Have a good one guys!
Oh, by the way, for those of you who keep calling the V Force a grasshopper or a lawn tractor....
I RESEMBLE THAT STATEMENT!!!

LOL, good to see someone who finally has a good sense of humour about their machine. Lots of people get all bent out of shape when their machines are criticized .. good on ya!!

If you take the price into a factor it will Kill your wallet to make the V as fast as the raptor. The V wasn't intended to blow away the competition but to make it more comfortable and easier to ride.
From Kawasaki's site on the Vforce
"The KFX700 offers instantaneous power delivery, tracks precisely thanks to its racing-style chassis, yet is easy to ride because of its fully automatic transmission," said Jim Williams, ATV product manager for Kawasaki. "Riders simply won't get as fatigued as they would on a typical manually shifting sport ATV, allowing them to ride more aggressively for longer periods of time."
"We conducted focus groups in which riders circulated a race course on sport ATVs with manual transmissions and on our KFX700 prototype. At first the riders were skeptical about KAPS being used for such grueling sport-type riding, but when the day was finished more than 80 percent of these same riders said they preferred Kawasaki's automatic transmission. It was a simple issue of being easier to ride fast for longer periods of time."
From Yamaha's site
How Bad Is Your Need For Speed?
Are you the sort of rider who always attacks the biggest dune first? Do you enjoy blasting out of tight corners even more when your best friend is behind you?
If so, you'll appreciate Raptor's big, hard-hitting and high-revving 660cc liquid-cooled, 5-valve engine. With that torquey powerplant feeding through a five-speed gearbox, it's never a problem to keep the ground speed up and the radial tires digging.
I do not see anything about being comfortable but I do see bragging. Wonder why?

I raced one with a wheelie bar (+ all all of the spring gizmos through (organized) 100 yards. He was tough for me too run down since he probably pulled 7 lengths on me outta the hole. Very quick outta the hole with that wheelie bar. The time he beat me my front wheels were in the air and the speed traps caught my rears. Without the wheelie bar things would have messy for the V. I was running a mid 5 on my Raptor BTW.....straight off the trail.
