Warrior Pipe Questions
#1
1. How hard is it to put on a complete pipe kit? I want like as complete a step by step description as you all can get.
2. Can I get a pipe that is as quiet or quieter than the stock pipe, yet still help performance or maintain previous performance level?
Im a complete neophyte to the whole sport quad arena and I know this is an ok machine to start off with and it has some possiblity for more power with the right mods, at this time im not completely into making it faster but i would llike to get the exhaust back to as quiet as stock. See I bought my warrior used and the previous owner took the baffle off. But anyways as i said im totally new to this so any tips or ideas on ways that you have made your warriors run better are much appreciated. Thanks for any help.

For starters you don't need a complete pipe. You only need a slipon unless you're going bigtime top end motor mods (435cc +).
Actual procedures I can't get into in detail, but in so far as I can remember from looking at my system ..
1. Release the retaining clamp which holds the intermediate pipe onto the header pipe
2. Remove the bolts holding the muffler to the frame and slide it out the back.
3. Slide the aftermarket pipe in the same way the stock one came out
4. Install the muffler bolts
5. Tighten the retaining clamp to secure the slipon to the header pipe.
As for as quiet as stock .. I'm not sure you'll find one that quiet and still provide reasonable gains. I have the powercore 4 slipon from FMF and at idle, and trail putting around it's very quiet. When you're juicing the throttle it barks pretty good. I'm not entirely sure of the power gained from it though as the pipe came on the bike when I bought it.
I think to get a really noticable gain you would have to change your filter to a K & N or similar and rejet along with your pipe.
Good luck!!

I do not know of any aftermarket exhaust as quiet or quieter than the stock. They are designed to be more free flow and therefore they will be louder. I like the supertrap muffler. It is not to loud until you get on the gas hard.
I agree with NLWarrior01 that to really get any noticable gains, you will need to get a better air filter (I recomend K&N) and rejet with the muffler change. I noticed quite an increase after adding the Supertrapp, better air filter, bigger jetting and modifioed airbox

What kind of riding do you do. I have a FMF MegaMax II on mine. It's got a nice grunt sound to it. I put the Quit core in it to see what it would sound like and it's pretty quit. at least I think it was. It has good Performance.

hey thanks a lot guys,
well heres my problem i live in a neighborhood basically i have neighbors all around some as close as 50 yards on all sides of me, but i will not be riding here most of the time but just when i do i would like it to not be a big problem which i think with the current way the muffler is i think it could be. anyways i think im pretty much ok, but i know i want a new exhaust and i think ill get a slip on like you all are sayin, i like the idea of the supertrapp one with the different cores to change but thanks again
