That may be the problem with my 2000 Blaster. I purchased a new 14 tooth front sprocket. But the chain will not fit around the sprocket while it is installed on the quad, it hits the engine case. Almost as if the chain is too wide for the the sprocket while it is installed on the quad.

Cut the chain guard off and just run it with the flywheel cover. Then you can put a 14 on. If you want to go even bigger, drop down in the back instead. It will save you from altering your cover again.

I think I may have the wrong size chain. I checked the chain and their is no size labled on it. I had to purchase an additional 2 links when I added the new 14t sprocket and they will not fit on the chain I have. Both the chain and the additional links are from differtent people. By the way it is a new o-ring.
Will another size chain work on the Blaster other than the 520 chain?
