It keeps me from hitting the limiter in a drag race if I miss a shift so I don't lose any momentum. It's nice having the added space to decide when to shift.

I have one on my raptor and have played with changing back and forth with stock. I tried the rectifier also and the rectifier did nothing for me. But now I have a spare I guess. The cdi really dosen't give me any better power curve that I have seen or felt but it does rev higher. The one thing they don't tell you is the cdi will flash the R light when you rev it high and won't stop until you restart your motor. They say it is a saftey feature. I talked to Big gun and there cdi flashes also. Is it worth it, depends if you want more rpms, so what is that worth to you. I like to play with this stuff, I have 4 different kinds to play with on my 400ex. JMO

Their may be a handful of Raptors actually needing more rpm's than 9K....I would be suspicious of a company marketing such a product. My $.02
