The mechanic at the dealer I go to recommended The Grunge Brush. I got one and it works great. Use Cycle Wash to clean it. I think it's just a citrus based degreaser. Smells like any old citrus degreaser I've ever used. Paid about $15 for the brush.

If you don't have a master link than you can't remove it totally from the bike. You can still clean it with it on.

I have a stock raptor chain, do you know if that has a master link? If so, do I need a special tool?

How often do you guys clean them?

I don't really clean it, I just grease it after every ride with lithium grease.....along with all my bearings...

Stock chains don't have a master link. You have to buy a chain breaker and master link.

buy a pro design chain breaker (like $25)

and the sludge brush works great (like $20)
just fill it with solvent, load it on the chain,,,and spin the chain new again,,,,,,,,it works great!!!
