Default advice for YFZ owners

Today I took my 100% stock YFZ and raced and stock YFZ. He smoked me!! I stopped him and asked him why his bike sounds much louder than usual and how the hell did he smoke me. He took out the spark accestor. I took mine straight to the truck and the tools and pulled mine out. WOW!! Thats one hell of a difference. Sounds more intimidating and you can definately feel more power. It isnt hard and I recommend doing it only if you are running a stock pipe. 1 bolt and some tugging and our on your way!

Ridley,

Why do you say re-jet? How do you know when you need to rejet? I removed my spark arrestor also and my bike sometimes backfires. I've also changed to a UNI filter. Just can't decide on what pipe to get? Thinking of FMF Titanium 4 or HMF, full systems. Heard bad things about the noise on the HMF, even with quiet core installed. Any advice anyone?
