Default Raptor Recall

Does anyone know exactly what needs to be replaced / added, and how to do it?

Default Raptor Recall

I got mine Friday. My dad wants to take it up there and let them do it. I think it's stupid. We have not had one problem with the rear brakes and it is unncessary. I do understand that some people have had probs with the rear brake, though. I use mostly the front brakes anyway.

I hope you got the title when you purchased the Raptor used. If so and if it has been signed and transferred to your name with your information Yamaha can get in contact with you via DMV.

Got my recall letter Monday, letter states not to ride, OK I have not ridden much lately any way. I also got a Transmission recall letter on my Road Star Warrior 2 weeks ago with the same do not ride until fixed statement. The problem is all the parts needed for the recalls are on back order like anything you want from Yamaha.

So basically all the Yamaha's I own are parked waiting for parts, sucks huh. Guess my loyalty to Big Blue is starting to wear thin.

I would not have a problem with the recalls if the parts were readily available.

Anyway I will contact the dealer this weekend about my Raptor and get on that waiting list too!

I understand the rear brake recall involves placing some rubber in between the master cylinder reservoir and fame to keep the vibration down.

Does anyone know more?
