i was riding normal and easy today when my raptor just slowed and died and backfired. i tried to shift it to nuetral, i cant budge the shifter at all. the clutch doesnt do a thing, it is still locked in gear and i cant get the bac wheels to spin at all. we tried to pull it with a truck to jolt it out of its lock, but no go. i am bringing it to my dealer and getting a new raptor. it was only less than 2weeks old. i babyed it soo much, i dont know what happened. anyideas?

check that your chain isnt broken or locked up in there some were cuz i was pulling out of my drive way in the snow and it just stopped in the middle of the rode and it flung me over the bars and i couldnt move it out of the street till i figured out that the chain had broken of and got all tangled up in the sprokets and everythin

alright then your best bet is to take it to your dealer and see what they have to say about it you proly broke somethin or lost something they should fix it for free if its not even a couple weeks old. when it died did it stop dead or did it just shut off and keep rolling

I just joined the ATV forum I got a brand new limited raptor only about a month old now and not to change the subject but I have a few question I heard that the cranks aren't very strong and they crack after about 4 months of hard riding I didn't know if anyone heard or experienced that yet I love the bike runs great and I was wondering what would be a good pipe for it.

wow i never heard of the cranks breaking ever lol thats funny you bring that up because one time my old banshee the crank cracked after i was riding it for nonstop for about 10 hours as hard as i can and i went threw a stream and the crank cracked and stalled but it was hot going into cold and it craked it!! as for the pipes you should deffinatley go with a full system and not a slip on and also make sure you jet it out and put an air filter in it too!! I like the LRD piped there real loud and also the sparks pipes are nice preformance wise!! if you want a good looking pipe get the LTE LOONEY TUNED EXHAUST they are dual pipes for the raptor and looook reallll nice!!!!!!!

well it was what millers yamaha said one of there technicians and well i need to go ask them myslef so i know if i gotta get and extended warrenty but i deff want a full system and i seen the dual exhaust and it is nice but nice price too lol but i was looking at LRD, HMF, and Big Gun and undecied i want something not too loud but throaty and i don't want a disk muffler either i hate that baffled sound. Oh and another thing i got a recall on the 2004 raptor for the rear master cylinder from the motor vibration that it creates air bubbles and then sends air to the caliper which causes faulty braking just to let people know about it. I have and old warrior too that needs to be rebuilt finally been a good old bike but i would like to know what kind of pipe for it too but i would like to know Bang For Price lol Thanks
