When I ride and I get to the top end it cuts out and back fires? any suggestions

 

Could it have anything to do w/ a clogged jet? E-Brake?

 

is it totally stock? if so then I would say clean the jets. If its not stock then its probably lean.

 

It does sound like maybe jetting or float level, but I would check the air filter, plug and valve clearance too. Also if you have a pull starter, and I don't think the 2001 does (????) then it could also be the decompression lever not adjusted correctly.....

 

Well.....It runs great now! I ain't exactly sure what happened, but it runs better now than it ever did! I think It was water in the gas! THANKS
