Yamaha Loaning.

i would highly reccomend not getting a loan from yamaha unless you have to. Their interest rates are ridiculous. When i bought my 450 i was too excited to care about the interest rates. Then when i was getting my bill and noticing that 40 dollars of my payment was just going to interest i knew i screwed up. Im trying to get mine paid off as soon as possible.
I needed a cosigner and i dont have much credit at all.

If your heart is beating,,,,,you should be alright,,,,,,,but do you really want to owe somebody something.
Just buy it with good old cash.

You will be better off securing a loan yourself. Example: If your credit score is good enough too get a 10% finance rate your dealership can and will use this bank. Here is the kicker....the dealership tells you your rate 14% (or higher) and the stealership pockets this money and you do not even realize it. Automobile dealerships do this as well. This should be against the law.

Right now Yamaha has 3.9% for 24 months on ALL atv's which isn't too bad. When I got my YFZ I got 9.95% for one year and then it goes way up and I had good credit. I will refinance with my credit union after the one year is up. Other ATV's had a lower rate but the YFZ was the exception.
I decided to go with Yamaha because I didn't feel like putting any money down and a lot of credit unions require around 10% down on the atv price (not the otd price). They don't always like to finance the tax, setup, freight, and warranties. If you're putting $3500 down I would go with the 3.9% and try to pay it off in that time.
Warning!! The scum bags at Yamaha automatically enrolled me in their credit protection service. I called up and I finally had to be a jerk and tell them to credit my account for the first month and take me off the program now. I asked how I got on it and they said I signed a paper at purchase enrolling me. Funny thing is I had the piece of paper they sent me at home unsigned and never mailed. I hate when companies pull this crap.
