Sam's mild 686 was giving you a good run against your alky YFZ, selector.

He won't be mild anymore, and I don't think the results will be the same the next go around.

Edit: I'm not taking anything away from your YFZ selector, but in the vid's, Sam wasn't getting killed by your YFZ on alky. A hot 686 isn't a joke when it's tuned in, and ready to run.

And before you ask, I decided to build the rappy to what I want before I look at getting another quad.

Serious? On the hill w/o whoops where it's more machine that rider, I wouldn't call that a "good run". A review:

I've already admited in another post that I suck in the whoops. The point is, his mild 686 tuned by sixsixt got spanked by a YFZ and he didn't like it, has changed his username twice and rebuilt his machine. I expected such and have taken defensive measures - I'm not worried. Sam's good in the whoops and I knew he'd want to run thru them. Like I said in a post last week, that's cool. If I had his talent in the whoops the other vids would have looked just like the first. The ground I made up can't be ignored.

Refer to above statement.

Ok...

Ya gotta rememer... I'm in a sub-500cc class playing w/ the large volume guys. While there are larger displacement bikes that can handle my YFZ, regardless of past/present/future mods, I'm making you guys spend money to do it. That's a testament to the "little YFZ". It's also funny. I've run down some raps up here that didn't think I should have and heard all sorts of whining. Again... funny.

I was the 3rd fastest 4-stroke quad @ Dumont on New Years - at least while I was there. I doubt that was a big turnout, nevertheless, a full-blown sparks rap and a mean DS were the only machines that I had nothing for. Again, a testament to the YFZ. Actually, that black rap w/ the 1100cc sportbike motor had something for me too.

I'm planning on being one of the fastest (normally aspirated) 4-strokes up here this year and probably in the top ten regardless of aspiration method. Win, loose or draw, I've got a badazz YFZ that can handle most of the raps out there and, and... as Sam likes to always say, I can still go cruise the dunes when I'm done. Well I don't know if he can still do that, but I certainly can.

It's an honor to loose to such fast machines knowing I'm still closer than tons of other big volume bikes.

If you recall one of my posts from a long time ago, I thought this quad dragging thing was kinda rediculous and thought I'd step out of it. I then relized that the YFZ has bigger potential than folks give it credit for and vowed to put up a fight. I've made more than good on my word.

It's no big deal when a rap beats a smaller displacement bike - everyone "expects" it. It's a different story when the little guy turns the table ain't it?

Selector, I never inspired to take anything away from your bike. That was the point of my post, it just means that with the limit on cc size, and the displacement of a Raptor, it takes less of a severe motor build to keep up. I don't know what to expect from Sam this time around on his build, but I'm sure it's going to be very very quick, and definetly something to contend with.

In the video on flat sand, you was pulling on him. But think about the difference's are on both machines. You was on alky, and had a high compression build. Sam was on a mild build, stock carb's, on pump gas(i believe). That is the difference in building the two machines.

I can't wait to see the results this summer if you guys get to line up again. Hell, I would love to be there and see it myself, or even be running with you guys. So I'll keep my eyes open for that video to surface this summer....and I don't really believe sam changed his motor, username, and all that because he lost once race. I believe he is like anyone else, and wants to be faster then everyone else. As money comes, bigger and faster builds are coming.

But again, you have a very fast machine, and I'm not afraid to admitt that. But the mild 686 didn't do to bad against your high comp. yfz on alky.
