well, being another sport ute rider, i will say some of the posts are entertainment.
they are useless for the most part, but seeing a 13 year old try to convince a bunch of adults that his blaster with 1700 hours on it, in stock form, can outrun a piped banchee through 100 miles and hour, priceless, lol. and we all know that nothing can touch my grizzly in 330 ft drags on hard pack, pure power and speed, ROFLMAO!

What I have to say is targeted at these "What difference does it make how fast it is?" or my favorite "Top speed doesn't matter its acceleration that counts?" people.
While those statements are true in a closed course type environment, the real truth is that many people don't have a mx track in their backyard. And its also true that many people trailer their quads to wherever they're going to ride. For the other 85% of us we have to ride the quad to get to the trails or the fields or yes, the mx track. I bought my atv's because where I live their is a lot of places to ride that you can see from a car;{trails from atv's on the side of the road, fire roads, access roads to underground cable that only gets used if there is a break in the line, ect} me, like many, I think, buy a quad because they see that it is something they can ride and enjoy REGULARLY. In my case I have to ride a couple of trails, then maybe an eighth of a mile than like nine miles of trails then another eighth mile. You get the point. It is during these times that you want a quad that can CRUISE at 50-60.
I have a 200x three wheeler that I used to ride all the time before I got my other quads that could outCRUISE all of my friends machines. It could not accelerate faster or go faster top speed, But because It has sixth gear I could maintain a good speed without reving to the moon.
Because I like to ride like a scaulded dog on crack...safe, but fast for those of you that don't speak redneck, I got a 300 ex four wheeler, I love the thing, still ride it all the time, but it is SLOW top end, Plus the crusing speed, 1/2 down in fifth approx., is abominable! I put a 14 on the front sprocket and a 36 on the back but the machine really does not have enough omph. to pull such a steep gear. And even then It wan't as good as the 200.
So before I bought my next quad i really researched this quandry because no modern machine has sixth{banshee and warrior are great machines I just wanted something a little more modern}. One way to know how good the crusing speed on a machine is , is to find out the top speed of it. I mean if a maching does 75-80 I think one could assume that it will cruise decent at 50-60. But everytime someone mentions top speed you get people that freak out saying it does not matter.
Just thought I would let everyone know that sometimes it definately does.
It is this reason alone that I chose a raptor, And I can tell you honestly tell you that it was the best decision for me, and at the time I could have gotten any quad out there.
