BTW if the Raptor is blue then you are gonna get white stress marks in the plastic just from riding it normally over time. You don't ever have to roll it to get the stress marks... its a part of life for Yamaha owners since half of them are blue. The stress marks can be lessened and possibly removed by using a heat gun or maybe a good hair dryer... just heat up the plastic where the mark is and it should begin to go away.

I was at the dealer yesterday and they are not selling any Raptors until all the brakes on them are fixed. The service guy said something about adding a washer because air gets in the system. I've got an 01 and have never had any problems whatsoever with my bike yet.... none. except that my wife thinks that I spend to much time talking to it and carresing it and kissing it ....[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

 

Is it possible for the guy to get a court order on me and force it to sell the quad to him as evidence? Can he demand a certain price too?

I dunno bout a court order but i think if he took you to court they would see that you legally purchased it and he infact lied to you at the time of the purchase... Sure im really sorry for the guys son dieing but why would you lie about it when selling it then call up the buyer and tell them, I find that somethings not right there. I do not see why this man would want to buy it back.... Now honestly people if you son died on a machine such as a quad would you like to walk by it everyday in the garage "hell no" and it doesnt seem like the quad really shows the damage from the accident so why would he want to buy it back??? Im I just crazy or is something weird here? Thanks

 

he didnt lie to him. It was already stated that xUltra bought the bike from a dealer and then later the original owner got in contact with him.


i would never think about selling the raptor for 25-30k. That is ridiculous. The guy lost his only son and is probably in a big state of depression. Sell it to him for the price of another raptor that your looking at.

 

Yeah I'm exactly doing that. I'm asking 5500 for it... when really its cheaper than I'm really willing to sell it for. I bought it for 4600 including taxes. Plus gas was like 200 bucks because I drove 13 hours for it. Plus food, and the fact that I spent like ~18 hours of my time(including drive and time spent purchasing) on this thing, put all the miles on my car, and the fact that I won't find another deal lik e this. I'm saying $5500....theyre reviewing some stuff and are gonna get back to me.

 

My wife told me to marry the stupid thing and get it over with, I told her atleast I can ride my Raptor anytime I want and not get told "not right now" or "I don't feel like it" or "I got a headache".
