Default Jumping a Wolverine

I've started jumping my 04 wolverine recently. I've ridden quads for years (since the 80's) but never really jumped much. It has pretty good manners and lands ok as long as you take off level. Any veteran leapers have some hard earned advice?

And before anyone bombards me with "you should have bought a YFZ if you wanted to jump" save it. I may get one later but I needed a 4x4 right now and I just want to get some mild air (4 or 5 feet) occasionally.

Thanks in advance.

I can vouch for that one.......last October did the over the bars faceplant. Sprained knee, ankle, neck, finger, subluxated collarbone, and knuckle bone chips. Keep the front up.......

Warrior some one should go ebay shopping and custom fitt them. Unless they fit anyways. This post already happened. Try wolverine jump in the search i bet you will find it. Man now i really want to try that idea with the yfz shocks. The rear im guessing def wouldent work stock. But the fronts may just

Make sure you preload the suspension on take off - I didn't one time while third gear wide open on a 4-5 ft high jump, the front end dropped and rear kicked up - i landed front bumper first and flipped quad and all. Wolverine landed on me - and the rear rack bent around my legs. - hurt bad. Somehow i didn't break any bones. Been a little shy on the jumps ever since. You can do it, just don't get too overconfident and get hurt.
