Ok just for fun:
Traditionally a two stroke was known to have 50% more power per CC. This is why a Warrior has around 20 hp and a banshee has over 30. In other words a 200 cc two stroke should produce similar hp to a 300 cc four stroke. Take the blaster vs. the 300 ex. This is a pretty good race.
Now the Trail blazer 250 should produce similar power to a 375 cc four stroke. In other words it should be a bit snappier than the wolverine. Then you have the x factor.....The power robbing belt driven automatic on the trail blazer. This causes a large parasitic loss of power for the trail blazer. So much that it takes a 400 cc two stoke to beat the Wolverine. Remember.. a 400cc two stroke should produce hp similar to a 600cc four stroke.
Now back up a few years. The 4x4 polaris 400L two stroke in 1995 when compared to the Wolverine in the big bore 4x4 shootout in Dirtwheels was able to out accelerate the Wolverine but lost to it on top end. And yes polaris fans I know that the scrambler and trailblazer 400's should have more top speed than the Wolverine but that is not what the article from Dirtwheels said back then.
Other factors to consider when comparing machines:
gearing
weight
traction
rider skill
