Starting problem on Rappy

If you jump start it from another battery will it crank right up? If so you might consider a better battery. My YTX14 (stock) wouldnt do my 12:1 686 worth beans. I upgraded to a YTX20L-BS from www.discountmotorcyclebattery.com and no more problems. It starts right up. I owe that to Patsraptor if memory serves me right. Mine cranked really slowly even after a fresh charging. It would barely turn over and when it hit the compression stroke it would flat stop. I'd have to let off the starter button and hit again a couple times to bump it past the compression stroke. It would also drain the battery very quickly doing this. Jump start it from your car/truck and see if it cranks right up or turns slowly.

It does turn over if jumped...I had to do it a couple times a couple weekends ago. Also, I have a charger hooked up to the battery and with that extra juice it starts up but if I take it off it doesnt turn it over well, if at all.

I'm right outside Eugene, I think thats a ways away. I was planning on taking back that battery tomorrow, It's not holding the volts I need so I'm assuming it's faulty. I'm gonna go get another one similar to the one you have also tomorrow after I take that back. Hopefully it will work then. They should take that battery back right?

I would think they'd take it back if there is a fault in the battery. It's definitely worth the upgrade. You'll have to fiddle with the wiring a bit to get the YTX20 to work out but it's not terribly difficult. I think it's the OEM grizzly battery.
