Default stripped screw

you know how there is four screws that keep the tire in place well my son stripped one because he could not find the xtension. this thing is very stripped i got no clue how to take it off now. i need help anything would be apreciated

You mean the nut right? If the nut is stripped, then just get a smaller 12? point socket and jam it in there.

If its just a little out. Anything might work, get something that will grasp around, and start twisting. Try something. In these cases, I try anything I can find, but at sometiems nothing seems to work out. Your seems pretty possible, the nut cant be that hard onto the tire can it?

ive tried vie grips, and they could not grip. then i tried jaing in a smaller size but it then just spinned off.

i think im just going to try and chisel it out.

anymore suggestions would be appreciated.

Craftsman makes a tool that looks like a socket that has very course threads on the inside. You put it over the nut and as you screw it down it back the nut off.

If not that try and drill it out, just make sure to get a good punch mark right in the center.

Or cut it off with a dremel.

Default stripped screw

A buddy of mine "helped" me by swapping my sand tires out with an air wrench. I got it off by using a cutting wheel on a dremmel tool after all other options were exhausted. Good luck.
