yfz or 450r? reliablity?
I'm going to be getting a new quad soon. I like what I hear about the new yammy but I worry about the rebuilds. I love my rappy but I have always been a honda guy and can testify on their reliabilty. I still see a ton of old honda's and I routinly spank new quads on my 86 200x. I picked the rappy because I liked the idea of big bore ,solid engine design and I'm really happy on it. I definately think that riding it has made me a much better rider! Anyway I'm ready to get something that I can really race around on although I would still pick reliability over speed. I'm concerned that with the higher reving, more race oriented quad would require more maintinance and upkeep but has yammy pushed the envelop too much with the 450 yfz? This will be my disciding factor in what I'll buy and I may have too wait until more people ride these machines. I do think that yamaha has vastly improved the quality of their machines but I don't know if that is just me. Any opinions or comments are appriciated.

I do believe that with the same maintenance, the same riding, the same oil, same gas, ect. Honda, Yamaha, Suzy, Kawi, will all be as reliable as the others in that group.
One could assume that lower comp. ratio, seperated gear and top end lube would make the Honda more reliable, but other than that, they are sixes.
