Start out with air induction and exhaust. K&N air filter with Dynojet Stage 1 kit for the intake and a White Brothers E-series exhaust will help quite a bit, and are necessary for any further mods as money permits. Then either punch some holes in the airbox lid or get a vented lid from White Brothers. If you've got stock tires on it (Dunlops), try to get rid of them as quickly as possible. Maxxis Razr's (or Holeshots) improve the handling drastically, especially at higher speeds.
