I am very happy with my 00 Kodiak, I put the Warn 2500 winch on mind due to being able to use the remote cable. I have to winch up and down deep creek banks to retrieve deer. I have read a lot about Mudbugs and Titan 589's. The Kenda bearclaws in stock size seem to be popular on several posts for the 00K. For all but all out severe mud riding the 00 Kodiak is an excellent choice, I ride with a couple of SP 500 and they are awesome in bad mud. But I am always right beside then at the end of the trail. I have not heard of any locker for the 00K yet, it is hard to find a lot of accessories at this time. As they they get more popular folks will start making stuff for them.
