Default Shooting flames in reverse?

My raptor jetting is almost perfect, but last night I put it in reverse and was riding backwards, acting stupid I know. I then saw I was shooting flames out the back. Anyone know why?

The RPMs were not that high maybe 2500 - 3500. Does that matter?

Is there anyway to remove this limiter? I hate it, especially out in the woods, and i feather it in reverse, and it usually dies cause it revs out.
