Actually I do have the filter, 14/42 gearing (rear gear just added), and enough torque to pull stumps. Some people just don't pay attention these days!!! Just wait till the engine mods! I already can rival a slightly modded z400, and kill a 400EX, so trust me a Blaster is like running against a baby carriage. Like I said earlier anyway these quads are a pretty good match. If you think the warrior doesn't have any torque, how have people used them for plowing snow, and besides a 4x4 utility quad was made with the same engine. The thing you said about carbs only applies to large diameter carbs, such as the special edition edelbrock, but I only have the regular edition one. The regular edelbrock gives you tremendous low and mids, which works great for the warrior (wish you could check out my response too!). If you seriously think the carb did nothing than come race me! Trust me my low and midrange can murder a blaster in the woods. Don't get too upset now kiddies, HA HA HA HA HA!!!

OK, here is my 2 cents.
My blaster (before I had the head shaved) would take a warrior in a 300ft race and beat by about 4 bike lenghts. I weigh about 135 pounds. My friend on a warrior weighs about the same, probably around 145. His warrior is stock except for it is piped and jetted. We race on sand, pavment, grass, anything, no matter what he can't compete.
NOW ALL YOU WARRIOR GUYS DON'T START YELLING AT ME!!!! Just beacause my blaster can take a warrior dosn't mean all of them can. You have to figure in many other variables when it comes to racing.

I can't give you an exact amount, I've done it all over time so it's hard to tell. For everything probably about 1500, but that includes all the stuff needed for small maintenance and good materials for the cooler (maybe more with the tires and rims). Man I can't believe that person thought the carb did nothing, the bike didn't even come to life fully until the carb was added. Porting isn't required one bit with the normal edelbrock. The guy must have thought he magically teleported into my garage and took it for a spin for a day, off the acid man!!! I can guarantee this warrior feels nothing like a brick!
Hey ShavO, I sure won't yell, each quad's performance depends on exactly how it's put together and run, and in this case the two bikes are pretty much the same except one being 2 stroke and the other 4. I'm not biased towards either, I just wanted to get a rise out of the blaster riders with that trash remark on an earlier page, and it worked somewhat lol. Two quads with the same mods may run completely different due to installation and tuning, something many people neglect.
Forgot one thing wanaply21, your supposed to hit up suspension before serious engine mods. Havn't you ever heard 'pros talk handling.' Don't take what I say too seriously when I talk smack, I'm just joking. This warrior does have a ton of torque though, probably even more than your blaster, afterall it's a 4 stroke. Don't forget 2 strokers are rev tuned, which is why people have to mod them for good bottom end. This reason is why four strokes take the lead in the woods in gncc racing and two strokes lay the smack down in open areas.

ShavO is obviously one of the smart ones. Performance depends on the R&D work you do to your machine. When you beat the warrior in the 300ft. race did you have that gearing setup? The stock warrior is 13/40 (3.06), which could of been a factor since that gearing would spank in a short haul (the transi is probably totally different also). The largest drawback to the warrior is the crappy intake and exaust system anyway, you havn't raced a true warrior engine until the carb, filter, and exaust have been ripped out. Take my word on that one.
