Default Extra set of foot pegs or foot rest for passenger???

I'm trying to rig up something for my 7-year-old to rest her feet on while she is on back with me on my Warrior. Yeah, I know, not supposed to ride double and all, but, fact of the matter is...she does. Her feet and legs get so tired just dangling there, not to mention occasionally melting pants on the head pipe and scuffing up the plastics. I would like to come up with something for her to rest her feet on.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

the guy i bought my three wheeler did that for the exact same reason. All he did was take about 5 inches of tube steeland welded them to the end of the original pegs. and then took another peice of tube steel and cut it the legnth of the extended peg and welded it to the bottom as a support. it works great and is really stong.

I made kiddie pegs for both our wheelers when the boys were young. They would ride in front of us actually and hold onto the crossbar on the handle bars. For the foot pegs I bent a piece of square solid steel stock about 3/8" I guess, and ran it down through along the front of the frame in front of the engine, on the Suzukis that's where the front fender support is bolted. I bolted on to that spot, and the bar ended up roughly in the shape your handlebars are, and the footpeg portion (or end of the bar on each side) was right behind the bottom of the front fenders.

So they could hold onto the handlebar middle, and have their feet on these pegs, and were sitting in front of me or Val on her wheeler. This was nice and safe really, the kid's between your legs & arms, and supported well. I'd get air with them riding, it really worked great.

This probably won't help ya but... I have saw kits that attach to the the rear rack and the footpegs of some utility quads with extra footpegs. Another thing that might help is most Harley shops can supply you with footpegs and mounts that will attach to round tube, they aren't that hi $$ either.

Thanks for the tips, guys.

She used to ride in front of me, but got too tall and the back of her little helmet would hit the front of mine at the most inopportune time. I'd rather she could still ride in front so I can keep her in between my arms, safe, but she just got too tall.

My husband ended up rigging up the neatest little foot rests. He took a piece of angle, about 1" or so, cut it so it is about 6 " across or so when mounted. He bought some nylon bolt entensions (?)....there is probably a word for them, but I don't know what it is. Anyway, he mounted them using the same bolt holes (with longer bolts) that are used to bolt the back plastics on, with the nylon extender thingies behind the piece of angle so it is deep enough for her heels to rest on. He ground the sharp corners off and put a strip of non-slip on top so her little feet won't slip off. They are just perfect! He would probably be able to give a more understandable description of what he did, but, the point is, they work wonderfully.

Her feet won't be going numb over at the dunes this weekend!

Thanks again.
