piston & ring replacment on my warrior
#1
When i bought my 98' warrior it smoked a little and is progressivly getting worse. I can get a wiseco piston & rings for like 80$ off of ebay but how much of a pain is it to replace. I plan on taking the quad all apart to paint the frame so the motor will be out already. WIll i have to take just the top end apart or will i have to have the flywheel pulled and get to the bottom of the rod to this thanks

Replacing the piston and rings is quite simple. With a 4 stroke it requires a little bit more disassembly than a 2, and there is more parts to loose if your not well organized. If you've never done this before then I would highly reccomend buying a manual. Clymer makes a great illustrated book that breaks everything down step by step. Dont forget to get a new top-end gasket set when you purchase your new piston/rings.
