approximately same amount of power as 300ex stock.
When you modd them they become little screamin deamons and are relatively simple to maintain and diagnos/fix/adjust things by yourself.

do get an idea of what you need to royaly stomp a 300ex, it's about the modds that i have, see profile

Being as tall as you are you might want something a little bigger. Im 5'9 145LBS and the quad felt to small for me.
Mabye a new raptor 350, or if your looking at used quads mabye a warrior.
Back to the blaster, Stock they run pretty good and reliable as long as you keep the oil injection on the quad.
Blaster are ez to mod and yes you can make them pretty fast.
Im not sure about the 300ex I have never riden one.
On the plus side there are many mods for the blaster and they are pretty cheap.
Like i siad though you might want something bigger.
A blaster is a good quad to start out on.

I'll agree with all the above pretty much. I picked up a 91 that's needs a complete overhaul (see my pics). The reason I went ahead and did it is that they seem to be so reliable and easy to maintain.

omg you need to start pigging out cause if your 6 foot and only 135 lbs then you have to be this thin: | and when you roll your blaster (like everyone does) you are going to break in half. but yeah im 6foot and 180lbs (not fat just have a heavier build) and i tried a blaster and it was nice but it was a little cramped you might want to look at a warrior. i went out and test drove a used one today and it felt perfect for my hieght. or if you got enough money get the rappy 350 ive personally never seen one but they must be good because of the people on this sight RAVING about them.

Hey crispy, How does your 28mm work for you on your blaster. Do you notice a big bifference from stock? I am putting on a 30mm real soon.
