Check your reeds and what is your jetting? How many mods have you done to the quad.

my jetting was .270 I just put .280 jets in to see if it helped the problem but it didn't. Its been bored .030 has a cool head with 20cc domes boost bottle and stock reeds, FMF Fatty's. I,ve checked the coil , wires stator, flywheel, reeds and Ive even run a bore scope through it. The piston looks good, the bike has run good up till now and its only the right side that pops. It takes off hard and pulls good but as soon as you go past half throttle the power drops off and it starts poping I even checked the float levels and there good??????????

Timing advanced too far? If not...has to be lean, either needle or main.

Oh. I all most forgot. Look around the wiring harness on the right side of the frame where you stator plugs into. In that area make sure the wires were not touching the pipe, even if they were not still check for any bare wires. I all most bought a new harness before I checked that. Mine did the same thing yours is doing. Also change the plugs if you have not already.

went out to work on it today and the problem was gone. I rode it all day and it ran great so either it's an intermitent problem or it was just a glitch. THe wind here is blowing 60 to 70 mph so maybe it blew the problem away. Thanks for eveyones input.
