Default Thinking about 89 Warrior

Hi, thinking about getting an 89 Warrior. The guy wants $1900 for it, says he just put in new top and bottom end gaskets, says it runs great. Was this the first year they made the Warrior and how easy is it to get parts for this machine, including new plastic? Thanks for any info!

Thats really expenisive. The first year for the warrior was 87. Platics would be easy to get for it if it has the lights on the top of the hood not the bottum.I would offer him 1500. 1900 is way to much. U can get a nice used blaster for 1900

Thanks for the replies, I went ahead and got it anyway, $1800 was as low as he would go. New top and bottom end gaskets were just replaced, new battery and nerf bars also extra set of sand paddles. I drove it and seems to have plenty of power, no smoke. He told me that it's basically the same engine that they've used for years now. It's in really good shape for the year. Anyone got any advice on a good pipe to put on it, and the best place to get it? I don't think I paid too much for the Warrior as the prices here on used quads seems to be much higher than the rest of the country (Las Vegas). I'll be switching out the oil to Amsoil 0W-40 synthetic 4 stroke.

You paid a little much for an '89. A good place to get a pipe would be Rocky Mountain ATV. Any pipe for the Warrior is gonna perform about the same, it's all about what you like better. There are TONS of posts on here about Warrior pipes, I recommend doing a search.

from personal experience and just from looking around on the net, in magazines, dealerships..etc... the Alba pipe kit from albaaction.com is the BEST way to go. I've got one on mine, it sounds awesome and performs quite nicely too.
