Default Pegs Bending

I noticed yesterday when I was leaving the track my left peg is starting to bend and I cant tell if the right is or not. These are -2 pegs and they are powdercoated. I dont see how they could bend but my stockers didnt. Has anybody else had this happen? I think I'm going to find a strong piece of steel, drill a hole in it, wedge it in between the footpeg and the frame, and put a big bolt through the hole in the peg and through that, and hopefully that will make it stronger and less prone to bending more. Any other suggestions??

Dude I'm having the exact same problem with my stock pegs..I first broke the welds on the threads inside the frame to hold the footpeg on...got that welded...then the metal started to bend...I just got a piece of angle iron and welded a pice from the frame to my footpeg....well i was riding and i broke the weld holding the angle iron to the footpeg and the weld holding the threads into the frame...I am now gonna weld a bolt inside where the threads go, reinforce it a lot with lots of angle iron welds....and hope it holds...

My dad thinks the reason the threads broke the first time were because of my nerf bars not allowing full strength on the peg...so that might be it...

That also got me thinking, since my pegs are right above the back bar of my nerfs, I could probably fabricate some kind of spacer in there to keep it from bending any more....

Though they are spendy, the IMS/Roll Design pegs would solve your problem. Just an idea.
