Default Step by Step Exhuast Cam Mod for YFZ450

Just thought this might be a little useful to anyone wanting to adjust their exhuast cam on their YFZ to match that of YZF.

I personally have not done it yet, but will be in the near future, if anyone has tried it already I would be curious to know how it worked.

Default Step by Step Exhuast Cam Mod for YFZ450

YFZMaster,

I brought my YFZ into the dealer to have the valves adjusted, and had them advance the cam while they were there (no extra charge)....

The difference was VERY noticable. The power comes on sooner and lasts longer.... this is a must have mod for any YFZ, IMO.

And if you're a duner, you'll want to also:

-Yank the baffle
-Order and install an ESR intake/filter (559-625-3157; you should order the outerwears and make sure to ask for the extra filter for the crank case vent - total cost is $100-ish)
-Rejet

and you'll notice a WORLD of difference. Just make sure to HANG ON! She'll try to buck you off!
