I have a '99 Warrior and have had it for about three months. Sometimes when I hit six gear and get close to full throttle the cluth slips and the engine revs up really high. Then I let off the gas for a second and then pour the gas on again but it starts to slip even worse. I shift dwon into fifth gear and give it gas and it also slips as soon as I give it gas. I always have to downshift all the way into fourth gear for it to stop slipping. Does anyone know what the problem is and what do I need to do to fix it?

Thanks,

Anthony

I would check to make sure that your clutch lever has some free play. Pull the clutch in and see if there is a little movement in the clutch lever before you feel resistance of the clutch. If there is resistance without free play your clutch needs adjusting. Problem is that if it is adjusted wrong it may have worn your clutch out prematurely. Let us know what you find.
