Modification Suggestions for my 1997 Wolverine
You'll be much happier with the performance once you get the 424, it feels like a different quad. I was looking into something minor to give a little more get up and go, but I haven't done anything since I got the 424. I have no problem pulling up the front wheels when shifting into 2nd now and I am 6'4" 230. Gotta love the wolverine, I do!!

Modification Suggestions for my 1997 Wolverine
SpDdEmOn, I have a 2003 wolverine with all the basic mods-big gun exhaust- pro-design air box with uni, that I have been riding for about a year. Am starting to trail ride a little more aggressive with my buddies on the trail. They run warriors, 450's, rapters you get the picture. I am looking to upgrade my suspension and was wondering about some engine perfomance upgrades also. I know what you have done to yours. Don't want to go quite that far with mine for now, but would like your input on a cam and higher compression piston. Still need my bottom end for mud and hills.thanks for replying.

Its not a bad idea at all, I would recommend running the race valve springs with the cam though, you might have to depending on the cam you choose. I would suggest the FST cam or the .390 web cam. I wouldnt go too tall on the cam. It will ruin your low end. Its a good idea to go with a cam when you run a higher compression piston too, because it lets more air out of the cylinder at a time as a result of a little less cylinder pressure which lets it run cooler, more efficient and you dont have to run really expensive gas, depending on the magnitude of the cam and compression. Overall though, its a pretty good idea, its easy to install except the valve springs and adds a moderate boost in power that you will really notice.
