Default To much trailer or not enough trailer??

After witnessing what all my local riding buddies have done......I would get a toy hauler (lite),,,,,something in the 21' range,,,,,,used,,,,,and would hope to spend between 10-15k. They are swet and perfect for quads. Use the bed of the truck for firewood

Aww hell, I thought it was a quad trailer.

Never dealt with layton, but mallards are cheaply made, all fleetwoods are.

Are you sure your only going to have (1) quad??? If there's even a remote chance you'll grow to a 2-3 quad setup, I'dhighly recogmend a Toy hauler trailer. I started out with a pull behind and a short bed bed truck. I used to load (2) ATC's in the front and then a Banshee up behind them (all standing up on their grab bars. Not fun.... I then bought a 5th wheel Toy hauler that the dealer said I could pull with my 1/2 ton. It pulled it, "but it was pretty dang scary". The breaks weren't adequate and the suspension was spongy (even with overloads on the rear). So I had to by a bigger truck (1 ton). That worked well and pulled very comfortably. Then I out-grew that trailer and bought a bigger one. The ole (1) Ton handled that load (14K Lbs loaded) pretty well. I later sold the trailer and the truck and bought a Motor Home and an enclosed trailer. (2) things I learned: (1) Trailer/RV's usually weight more than the dry noted weight, "and" when you get everything loaded IE: ATV's, gear, water, propane, fuel, food, clothing, firewood, generator (On and on and on) you'd be surpised at how much the whole load weigh's. Don't forget to add "your weight and any passengers (dog)" to the equation. (2) "Alway's have a bigger truck then the job calls for. This will give you a comfort level while pulling the trailer. Nothing worse than having to small a truck for the load (Inferior brakes and suspension) IE: trailer pushing truck around, breaks not stopping well.

I have an 04 22' Weekend Warrior and I love it!! I only wish I had bought one a little larger. With the wife, kids, and 150 Rott it can get a little small. Hey Mark I'll sell you mine!! Fully loaded! 5.5 kw Onan, 120 gallon water, 38 gallon gas tank w/pump station, Air, DVD, electric tongue jack, the works!!
