what happened to.......

I raced one 2 weeks ago. He had no chance. Nice bike though! From a dead stop im better at taking off so I really left him. When we did the rolling start, I gave him the go and he hung till almost 4th gear then I left him and pulled around 10 bike lengths. I dont like the way they look but with exhaust they sound awesome.

It's all in the rider in my opinion.
As for drag races, I'm not into them officially, but we do play around at the tracks after a race and I haven't been beaten by a YFZ or a 450R yet from dead still or rolling start.
Ofcourse, mine is far from stock as well.
I am moving to one of the newer 450s this winter. I am waiting on two things...To see the '05 YFZ, and to see what Suzuki has up it's sleeves.
I'm not concerned at all with what Dinli (or ATK for that matter) has coming out. Each week that goes by, the Cannondale nightmare continues. It's not a matter of getting parts. It's a matter of how frequently you need them and you are only serving a small number of folks when you take into consideration that all of our other riders have went to YFZs this year. Only I and one other are still on the Cannondale quads.
Don't get me wrong here. The Cannondale is a good quad. It's just not a great one when compared to the newer models available. Sure it has an aluminum frame and it has plenty of power potential, but the cost of being different isn't worth it to me as long as I continue to race every weekend.
I will keep the 'Dale around for display I guess. Alot of history with this quad.
I will soon be joining the masses....again.
Don't beat too hard on me fellow 'Dalers. It's nothing personal.

I'd take my bike over either of the new 450's. I wouldn't trade straight up for either, and I sure wouldn't pay more to get one. I got a Blaze for 2k less than either of those bikes, would do it again faster than you can read this sentence.
