I have a 400 and they are nice but it aint got nothing on a raptor even if it is stock, nice ride though and pleny reliaqble..

 

No I'm not. The fastest quad that I've ever driven is a 400ex and I really love the power. I will drive a Raptor one day.

stock, 400ex's aint ****! even modded they're not that fast, the trick is to mod your engine properly, my old 440 motor had a wiseco 440 kit, hotcam, mild porting, supertrapp pipe and a K&N filter and it wasn't much faster than stock. I recently got ahold of a CT built 440 race motor with 13.5:1 compression, web cam, porting, valve job, fcr41mm carb, fmf header and a supertrapp IDS2 silencer and it screams! CT's website says the motor makes 45hp which isnt bad for an air cooled SOHC motor that was designed in the late 90's.
