Just bought my 01' raptor and have had no problems with the tranny so far, although I am starting to get a little scared about all the bad tranny talk.

Just curious who has an 01' raptor and if they've had to do the 02' conversion...

 

Me for one!!

 

Mine failed once on stock 01 gears. Once on fortin 01 gears. I am on an 02 gear set currently and I only ask the quad gods for 1 year of no down time.

My 01 is still going strong, stock with Yoshi full system, jets, K&N & airbox lid full of holes.

 

My brothers' 01 gears failed. Replaced them with the 02 gears and they worked fine until he parted the bike out.

 

I'm still on 01 tranny. I'm hoping I never have to do the upgrade.

 

There is two Raptor's here on 01 gears....a Powroll 770, and a mild 686. They have not had a problem to date.

 

I'm still on my "01" tranny and have never to this date had a problem with it and I ride the p!ss out of it every weekend on hard rocky desert terrain...(I could use a new skid plate though...lol.)[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
