back to the real question, they jump great, performance is good. All around good machine. Plus you get Electric Start w/ the YFZ. If you know how to work a clutch any machine can be ran in tight trails.

Agree with DrDune. I sat on severall quads before buying the yfz450 and it did seem small. Now that I have ridden one fast and hard I have to say it all works. I find myself standing up and powering fast over the whoops it all works nicely. Acceleration is awesome .
Im 6' tall, 230 lbs.

I hill climb at Dumont all the time. Before the cam mod it was ok. Depending on the hole shot, I was up on most stock bikes. After the cam mod she seems to have better top end. Picks up faster, but if the timings not there she tends to stall. Also I really didn't like the emergency break so it has to go.

LOL. my bad the only chance I've had to hill climb in dirt is at Gorman, CA. Lots of trails and jumps hills are mild but she takes em' like a champ.

I rode drdunes bike at gorman up one of the bioggest hills there pinned in 4th gear, hell i thought i was at Dumont, it has plenty of power and likes to get worked hard, she rides better that way...

This pretty sums up me also. But I race/beat the crap out of mine 2/3 times a month. I also had the water pump seals go bad. they said it happend to some of the early ones but haven't seen the problem in the recent bikes. But mine held up for 8 months before it happend.

I have a House +1 stem, 1 1/8 bars, and X-factor Propegs nerfs that lower the pegs 3/4 of an inch it feels way better then a stock one at least to me.

Hi,
LokiDS650, thx for the insight on the nerfs and lowering the pegs, Ive been thinking of it as well and maybe a 1 or 2 inch riser for the bars.
