k&N cleaning...in the dishwasher?

Default k&N cleaning...in the dishwasher?

someone told me thats how they clean theres... what you think

i wouldn't suggest it... can't u just rinse those out with lie ka hose( time saver) or do u still need to use gas 4 m?

Default k&N cleaning...in the dishwasher?

Get the K&N cleaner, spray it on liberally, wait 10 minutes then gently rinse from the inside out. High pressure water is not recommended for a K&N, it might put holes in the matting and allow dirt or whatever to get in. Other filter cleaners will work too.

Yep, buy the re-charger kit! And don't blast the crap out of the filter! It's sensitive! It's supposed to stop dust, not direct hits. I re-charge mine any time it's starting to lose the red-oil color, and/or if I ride in really dusty conditions. Doing anything other that what K@N suggests is asking for trouble, plus they are expensive. Good luck!

You can do that or use Simple Green and water...works good..just make sure it dries.
