yeah, I just had to bring up the dirtwheels article because it's the first time I've been able to use a dirtwheels article in my favor. Riding quads is a blast no matter what you're riding, I have fun riding my wifes old 200SX. The fun thing about buying untuned models is that when you get bored with the power you can just mod it and it's like getting a new quad! I just got back from the track where I was testing my new 416 setup and all I can say is WOW! I can't believe the power the old ex is putting out now. I can roll around a corner lugging third and still have the power on tap to hit a 50' double without having to down shift. I used to have problems getting the speed to clear this jump out of the corner, now I have plenty to spare! I bought the cam, cylinder and piston for $230 and did the port and polish work myself, best money I've spent for power yet.. and it's fun to do the mods.

That Yamahonda440ex warrior is one interesting piece.
How much trouble did it give you setting the engine in there etc?
And as far as the whole stock warrior/raptor 350 v/s a stock 400ex all I can say is who races stock quads
I mean seriously when you get away from drags (remember some trails and stuff have bumps and turns lol) those couple hp either way, and top speed dont really mean a damn thing.
I will never forget a recent local harescramble where a older rider who has never really raced beat all kinds of warrirors, 400ex's, banshees, and even a couple of yfz's on a 250X. I think he came in like 10th in a thirty rider field, and this crap you cant make up.
So who is really worried about a couple hp?

The motor was fairly easy to put in. The oil tank is hand made with .190 wall aluminum. Oil cooler and all oil lines are stock. The Sparks headpipe was cut, turned and then lengthened to use factory warrior mounts, and the frame had to be notched for the choke on the Keihin.
