I just got off the phone with Trinity Racing about their 780 kit. They have completed one, and they are in the process of finishing the second. They said if you drop off or send them your quad or motor and they do all the work, it will be aroun $7000-$7700 for them to do all the work and get all the parts. He said that's about the only way they will do it, is for them to have the motor, or the quad. They don't have a definet price until they make out the parts list and everything, but for the full kit it's around the price the above. But for the most part if you drop off the whole bike, you will drive it out of their shop. That price also has thier pipe kit in it, and 39mm fcr's, crank/rod work, and one hell of a parts list as they put it. LOL.

Anyone got a sh*tload of cash to drop into a motor?

he's got into it, it'd be nice to see it clowning some folks. Is Frank coming up here (Utah) for Memorial Day?

He said he is comming up.

Sam, I thought we were going to Utah?

I'm sure the price might be lower if you already had some engine work done, but the way they talked on the phone they have to have the motor or the whole quad. So maybe the price would be higher or lower depending on previous mod's, but from what they said on the phone about a all stock quad, it would be upwards of $7K.

What I'm saying is there is no way they are getting that much torque from that motor. The Dyno they have may show it but, that doesn't make that dyno right. I've seen a number of torque curves including my own (DS760) and there is no way that engine is creating that much REAL torque. Either that or every other Dyno I've ever seen is real low

Curves should cross at 5250 (probably tough to tell by the scaling).

This is a simple formula to calculate Torque:

Horse Power x 5250 ÷ RPM = ft lbs torque

These Dyno's give a torque reading then use the RPM to calculate the HP. . simple algebra (if I can only remember it.)

Torque X RPM / 5250 = HP (did I do that right?)

The point I was additionally trying to make is. . . drop the Torque numbers by at least 5 points and do the math and you will see the HP curve drop as well.

If you notice, the curve has the peak HP at about 7000 RPM. The torque shown on their graph is about 58 ft/lbs.

58 (less the minimum of 5 I'm talking about) = 53 ft/lbs
53 ft/lbs torqu X 7000 RPM / 5250 = 70.66 HP
I'ld like to see the curve but, that sounds a bit more realistic.

Selector that is my bike Trinity is referring to. After one year of problems, it seems Harry finnally got the bugs out ofit. Well anyway I will be at little Sahara, I,m going to try
to bring the quad up there. Still some small bugs we have to work out. I will be in Utah,
friday-sunday. Look for me in red rail.

P. S.- If any of you guys are interested in purchasing this bike please PM me, Im
just getting to old for this stuff.
