Default is regular gas ok for banshee?

I was just wondering if regular unleaded 87 octane gas was ok for a stock banshee besides the wiseco pistons. I've been using premium but since gasoline is rediculously expensive right now and the banshee is a thirsty animal I was wondering if regular gas would be ok. Thanks everybody.

NO........ The recommended fuel octane for a stock Banshee is 90 (R+M/2) or higher octane.

Thats the price for riding a 2-stroke. I wouldn't run anything less then 90 in it unless you ABSOLUTLEY have to.

I would never run 87 octane gas in either a 4 or 2 stroke. The only 87 I use is in my Tacoma & lawn mower.

right on, thanks guys . i can get premium gasoline here for $1.04 per litre right now and as far as I know it is cheaper than most places here in New Brunswick. I got the machine secondhand but the manual was gone so i thought it might be a good idea to find out from all the knowledgeable people here. thanks again
