Raptor Clutch Slipping
I have done some searchs on the forum and researched this. My 04 clutch is slipping. I noticed it the last 2 times I rode. I also changed to semi snythetic oil right before I rode last 2 time2. Also the 1st time I rode on that oil it overheated. The dealer highly recommended the oil for my riding. Was he just full of sh** and sold me some crappy oil or do I got to get a new clutch? I notice it mostly riding in fourth at low RPMs then gassing it and it has that "High rev then delayed engauge".
Can oil make it slip? That bad?
I am going to change the oil today and see if that helps.
Anyone else have this problem? Should I just get a clutch anyway?
I need a beer.......

You may want to flush the engine by adding some engine flush to the oil, run it till it warms up, and then drain it. I've heard of people adding kerosene to engine oil as a flushing agent but I don't know if that's safe for wet clutches. It certainly sounds like an oil problem although I'm not sure why oil would cause the engine to overheat. If the oil you used has friction modifiers (moly and/or others), your clutch will slip like a SOB. Get that oil, and any residue, out of there and report back.
