I think that the raptor has the most power characteristics and has the most torque out of all the quads.

The V-700 is bulky, the motor pulls like a scrambler, and is no match for a slightly modified Raptor. I have raced one before and it is no contest. I will admit that it is a good engine..... for a moped or something to just putt around on, but as for a fast racer it is not.

Oh my god, are you serious? You race one or maybe two V-Forces and say they all suck and the motor sucks. Kids these days.
Do some research and race a propely clutched V-Force and then come back and complain.
If this motor was in a moped, the moped would more than likey twist into a pretzel from the shear power of the V-Twin.
Now to address your statements.
The V-700 is bulky ---because its built for bigger riders who do not want to sit on a kid sized quad. Raptor, Z400, YFX450, etc. Those are all small feeling quads.
the motor pulls like a scrambler ----the motor pulls like a crazymofo (hehe), depending on how it is clutched will determine how hard it will pull.
no match for a slightly modified Raptor ---a properly clutched V-Force will not get smoked by a pipped Raptor. It probably won't win but it will not be left in the dust. Spend the same amount of money on each and I think it could be close.
As you can see I don't insult other quads, I give you facts, straight up. I won't lie to inflate my ego so that I can feel better about buying a V-Force. I know it won't win races all the time, it won't jump like the smaller quads. Its a fun quad, gas and go. I love it. I bet if Kawi made a small mid sized auto quad, like a 450 it would do very well and people would buy it. The auto is great fun and when tuned properly can do some very nifty things.

Could you even tell me what the torque tightening specifications for the cylinder head nuts? Could you tell me how many head nuts there are? I'm waiting. Prove yourself.

The Raptor is a small quad, its almost the same size as the 400ex, Z400, and the new yami and honda. While on the other hand you got the V-Force and DS 650, they are for the tall and big people. You don't realize how small the Raptor is until you get on a bigger quad. Last summer I sold my Z400 to my friend, we traded rides for a bit and after riding my V for a few months I could not stand how small the Z felt, I had to trade back. Please don't say the Z and Raptor are not basically the same dimensions because they are.
You can do alot to the V-Force as far as mods go. Just as much as the Raptor. For clutching, there is more to it than just a spring. You got weights that can have rivets in them to adjust the tension on the belt. You can also get a different face plate to lighten the clutch so it revs a little faster and revs a tad more. There is also the option of machining the sheaves, changing the angle. By changing the clutch around you can get up to 85 mph on a v-force, if you got the HP to pull it.
I don't feel bad about my purchase, I love my V. I wish I gave the DS 650 a look see though. The raptor is just to small for me and alot of people out there.

k well first of all the kawasaki does not suck and if your saying kawi sucks its pretty much suzuki and actic cat to. and i persionally think that the v force is not that great for the type of riding I DO. but it is a beast hiding behind an automatic tranny. i think that the auto thing was stupid but hay there is demand for a quad in that class . there really are not to many sport quads for the larger rider or that inbetween class of sport rec riding. and i would like to see yamaha come up with a faster 400cc quad than the kawis. just wait untill kawi and suzuki come out with their 450s.(if they come out) and i would say those zillas and tecates put alot of todays other brands to shame.

LOL, a retarded post, thats funny. I tell you, kids have no respect.
A raptor may pull you around no problem, that is not what is being argued. The dimensions of the quad are, its SMALL.
I didn't say the V-Force has equal to or more aftermarket parts. I said you can do as much mods to it as the raptor. The only reason the raptor has many more mods is because your counting all the cams, big bores kits, etc from EVERY company. So the raptor may have 10,000 aftermarket parts available, so what? You only need to concern yourself with the parts that make the best HP or the best bang for your buck. A tricked out V-Force will cost about $3000 in parts and labour. It will then go 85 mph and still be trailable and putt around and everything else, the beauty of an automatic. The magic part is machining the sheaves so that the entire sheave is utilized and a sharper angle. I'm not 100% sure on the extact machining part so I'm going on memory here.
With the raptor you can do the same thing but you need to run a smaller sprocket in the rear, this will change your gear ratio. You sacrifice trailablilty and driving in the yard becomes a pain in the ***. The V-Force has no issues with that.
Once people learn how the automatic works and what can be done with it with some creativity you soon learn its way better than gears for alot of things. But you also need some big HP, which the Twin can put out, big time.
Its not hard to make 75-80 hp on a big bore v-force, slap on NOS and your up to 95-100 hp. Poor raptor is eating dust and maybe even a busted tranny, lol.
Stock you can get about 73 mph out of her, with the stock spring it takes a while to get there. Throw in a $20 spring and its there in no time.
Its fun being the only Kawasaki owner sticking up for the V, you get to educate the ignorate people. Anyways, enough typing. Time to go riding, I may even have some video for you people next week of me playing in the sand and hills. But I doubt anyone would want to see a slow, heavy v-force.
One more thing, a V-Force took the win at the Halifx drags last week, beat all the raptors and YFZs, lol.
Its good to own a V.
