dude,
how many years you been riding? if you just started then you prolly shouldnt move right up the ladder. however, the bl;asters have mice nuts.....they are worthless. if your gonna get a quad, then get a yfz, trx, raptor, or a 400ex. i think a banshee for a 13 year old might be a lil risky....they got some hella nuts there. at least wait to get one of those, i dont know about dirt bikes though, all my buddies switched when they were 13-14ish they sold their quads to get dirt bikes.....i stayed with quads, now they are all selling their bikes to get quads again. the ultimate decision is yours but it really depends on what kind of riding you do. a quad is much more liesurly in thr trails than a bike would be.......hope i could help.........matt

In my opinion, It's the other way around. Bikes weigh half as much, and are easier to handle because of that. They also have (generally) better suspension designed for going fast and jumping high. And they only move front to back. Not side to side, front to back, and corner to corner. ATV's are MUCH harder and tiring to go fast on.

Dirt bikes do generally have better suspensions and are much faster cc to cc against a quad. It seems like you like to do a lot of jumping and w/better suspensions you are a less of a risk of getting hurt. It hurts like h*ll to wipe out with a quad in comparison with a bike. Also, mid air corrections are easier to do with a bike. I just turned 15 today and have owned a kx 250 for a year. I'm about 5'11 and weight about 130lbs. I would think a 125 two stroke would be good for you because a friend of mine has one and is about your age/ size.
