Went through break in, did some minor racing. High Comp 400ex....not a chance. 440 w/ some sparks stuff...not a chance. Piped Raptor....not a chance. Then my buddies 440 blew! Yikes! Then my base gasket started to leak, so I tore her down to put in all new gaskets again and found that one of my vavles had minor wear from the keeper. So I'm swapping them out for a new set, and that will be done Wenesday/Thursday. Then I get to run her on the track for the first time this weekend.
I've got everything ready for the swap this friday. 4 Snow's, wheelie bar, pulling the skids and the extension. So I will have 300ft dirt drag times and new pictures this weekend.
But the power is great. I have had a blast riding it, and with the exception of the minor valve problem, it has been perfect to this point. And it will be running at Aledo in June. Myself and TheRaptorMan are looking forward to posting some video's from Aledo when we return as well.
When I come back from Aledo I think it may be at a drag only set up, with the 13.5:1 Ross piston running straight 110 or 116 race gas. I haven't completely made up my mind yet...but I'm leaning about 95% towards the 13.5:1 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
I do have pic's on my pic page of the 686, and that is show set up and trail riding. Just mainly for looking good and whooping up on people around the house. I will have new pictures this weekend if everything goes good from the drag races. So that will be something for everyone to look forward to. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
Did you get to do any riding this week David? Is the 12:1 that much better then the 11:1?

Awesome. RaptorFam is on pump gas as well.
I can't wait for the video's. And I haven't got to hear how the 740 runs yet. Dollarbillz is in the process of the 740 now, and so isn't BigScary. The 740 is a 106mm piston! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]

According to the KENZ bike, which was jetted for 1200 feet not the 7500 feet it was in with a stock swingarm, the Sparks bike and the Craycraft bike traded wins equally.
Apparently it takes an extra 30cc, 4mm larger carbs, and oversize valves for a Craycraft bike to run with an off-the-shelf Sparks bike.

Is a Sparks 690 a 686? If not, what's different of it compared to any 686 kit? I just got a kit that is supposedly said to use all them components, JE piston, Hotcams Stage 2 cam, and kibblewhite titanium valve springs, this being an overbore, and in the stock sleeve, not resleeved. So what am I looking at in comparison? I'm running the lower comp piston to run on pump gas still, that's al I believe is different from what I heard, that Sparks just calls there's a 690 kit instead of 686?
