Raptoraz- Using your thinking there is no way the kens should have been smoked as bad as it was. From all the raptors i have been around 5 more hp on one is huge.

2 years ago raptorboy673 made 2 more hp that me. That was about 6 to 8 lengths in the 660's.

Your cam logic is flawed also. That is one reason curtis was ruling the hill at glamis. You have to make power around 10k to get anywhere. Those web and stage cams all petered out at 8000rpm or under. I believe DSmike was make power at around 12.5k on his bomb and there was not a bike that could out run him on flat drags. He was doing great on the hills until his sucked the bowls dry 2/3 rds up.

Believe what you want.It s a free world. But if kens hi comp 727 with fcr's and bigger valves made 15 more hp he would have been running closer A few hp here and a few hp there......

There are so many lil tricks you guys either arent running or dont talk about. My engine builder used to build 600cc singles for a winning flat track race team so I hear all kinds of tricks and stuff when im up there. BTW, hes prolyl coming with me to aledo.

Sounds like you guys might want to rethink your porting skills then. Since my motor makes peak power at 8500 RPM and barely falls off that peak all the way to 9500 RPM with only a Stage II, stock carbs, and a heavy Carrillo rod.

Jackal- You are right, lots of little things. I have seen electric ???, ???, ???, ??? ???,??? and more. No ones tells all they know. A lot of r@D and trail and error at the drag strip.

I LOVE watching all you guys with fast a$$ bikes, kinda makes me sad when mine's not as fast, though. But good things come to those who wait....and work a lot, lol

Ive yet to race either one of them w/ my new build. The sparks 690s that are super fast are his mechanics or his personal freinds. Or just some HIGH $$$ Spenders.JMO
My dad does not know Curtis personally and does not have much $ in his engine and he beat 2001raptor2001 at 4SW3??? He has about 1200 in his engine, and 799 for fcr's, pretty fast bike huh???

No doubt your dad has a fast bike! But I dont think you caught 2001rap2001 on a good day. Didnt his motor blow?? Has your dad raced the fast z400 lately?? does your dad have valves, cams porting ?? Thats the best price ive ever heard of anyone getting motor work done for.
yes I did hear his motor blew the next day. Good day or bad day he got beat!!! no we never did get to race the z400, they were more interested in tuning the bike for the races.

my dad has a pipe, cam, piston and head, THATS IT!!! stock valves, rod, shocks, axle. just a bolt on dune bike, and my uncles is identical!!! Yes the price was good, it's not really that expensive, but the wait is killer!!! 8 months is a long time???

It is just a matter of time before rapfams dad and uncles rods become a 2 part item

To do the job right a rod is a must, if you do that whay not go to 105mm

I would walk naked thru glamis before i would ride a trinity in the middle of the summer
