Default 35mm Carbs

Is anyone running 35mm FCRs (or Edelbrock or any others) on stock bore? Is there a noticeable difference in power/response, or just fuel consumption? AND, how much of a difference in fuel consumption (concerned about desert racing, I have seen too many people DNF for running out of fuel.)

I was running the 35mm FCR's on a stock bore with an 11:1 piston and a stage 1 hotcam. I saw a noticeable improvement in power and throttle response. They also never cut out over bumps and won't run dry like the stockers. I have no idea if they use anymore fuel, but if your worried about it just get a bigger gas tank.

You will notice a gain on bottom end and throttle response. The FCR's are a great set of carb's, you won't be disappointed, and if you are planning future mod's...it's good to have the FCR's.

660R.... I have thought about future mods, probably next summer. But for my style of riding, desert racing and a hillclimb everynow and then I am not convinced. A little more power and then all the money goes into suspension. Then maybe more power.

Farm... I don't think the consumption will make be that drastic (although I could be mistaken) and I am opposed to a larger fuel tank for other reasons. but thanks for your input.... ALSO why Stage 1 hotcam and not stage 2? I think that will be a different post later, after I search it in the forum a bit, but your opinion?

Here's a few things the Edelbrock needs IMO
