Default Problem with FMF pipe

My friend has the FMF sst setup and has problems with it so what is the best thing to do about the pipe leaking oil and exhaust at the header. there was no hook on the flange for the spring to hook to so it wont tighten up. so what would be the best way to fix this without welding something

is he hooking it to the blaster? and there is no spot for the spring on the pipe or there isnt one on the bike...on the blasters you have to hook the spring up to the cooling fin on the front of the motor...blasters always leak oil around the pipe, you can try getting a new gasket but it will probably always be the same.
