In a Blaster engine with stock compression, it will do you no good to run higher than 89 octane. Octane is a measure of the stability of the fuel. As compression ratio rises...a more stable fuel is needed to prevent detonation. Higher octane gasoline actually will burn slower than a lower octane. In a stock engine, you can actually lose A SMALL AMOUNT of power by running the higher octane...because it just doesn't burn fast enough.
