I absolutely HATE THAT ENGINE! I had it in a Warrior, and you know what, there was a PILE OF SHAVINGS IN THE OIL FILTER, EVERY TIME I CHANGED IT (and I changed it often!). I think it is just something that engine does??? I could never figure out where they kept coming from. That engine has a reputation for being durable, so who knows how it holds up so long with all that metal coming from some place???

reconranger: LMFAO i've got an 01 warrior. and yup, the debris in the oil. But as stated earlier...that engine is durable. some say even bullet proof. i change the oil on the warrior like once a month.

Just keep up the maintenance on it, the fine metal shavings are from the clutch from normal wear. Also when you change the oil make sure you loosen the little bolt on top of the head to make sure you have oil pressure, but don't over tighten the bolt because they are easy to strip out.
