I'm going fri. evening coming home sat. night. I would say it would be worth a 6hr. drive. I drive about three.
Bad, look me up I've built another raptor(smaller) and I'd like to get an idea how it compares. I still have the other one and it's a little faster than it was the last time we ran.

Cool KBOB! We'll be there Thursday night through Sunday morning! It's 6hrs for us, and it's worth the drive. Hopefully we can hook up!

AdamsBadDS650, yes, it is worth the drive. It just sucks for y'all because my house in the States is four miles from the park, so I only drive about five minutes. Check my pics if you've never been there. I took them when I was home on leave last November from the North Campground lookout hill. The dunes are about 1000 ft from where I was standing. I'll try to post some newer pics that I took when I went home again in February sometime tomorrow.

The race is on! You have worked for months and spent countles time and money to get ready, so leave your vacation time on the books at work and let's race!!

This will be the Southeast ATV Drag Race Nationals at Paducah, KY or it can be the Aledo Nationals "relocated" - that is entirely up to 14mins. It can be part of a 2 race series. This is a dedicated dirt drag track and is a very nice facility.

There will be a $10 gate fee that covers the entire weekend to pay the owner of the track. There will be a $5 entry fee to cover trophies.

We will have practice all day Friday and Saturday morning. The races will start approximately 2pm Saturday, but that will be determined by the amount of bikes to race. May have to start earlier, maybe later.

Concessions will be available all weekend, breakfast, lunch and supper. A band has volunteered to play on Friday or Saturday night - depending on when the most people will be there.

We will have Pro Tree lights. The track is dirt and it hooks very good. It will be worked, but it will NOT be mush a foot deep!
There will by a dyno at the track all weekend.

There will be race fuel 110 octane, 118 octane, methanol, nitrous, and premium fuels available to purchase.

Whatever magazine was covering Aledo - we want them!! They already had plans for it, so they might as well come up to Western Kentucky. Who has contact info?

If you need parts at the track, call ahead of time and we'll have them there. If you break Friday afternoon, we can next day sat air parts.

WE NEED TO KNOW:
How many people are coming! contact Ward660r to confirm or deny your registration AND contact me to let me know how many people are in your party, whether your camping or need motel suggestions, when you want to arrive (if Thursday night, we will have someone there to let you in), how many t-shirts and what size you want (we have to get that order in ASAP), when will you leave (Sat night or Sunday morning?), if your staying till Sunday morning, would you like to have worship services available?, do you want concessions available for breakfast, lunch, and supper?, what night would you prefer to have the band play, how many people intend to utilize the dyno services, how many people think they will purchase fuel, methanol, or nitrous at the track?

Please answer all these questions in an email to me at recreationspec@aol.com.
Please contact ward660r as well to let him know how many bikes your bringing to run in what class.

directions and specific track rules will be up on the hpresearch.net website soon. We will run the classes and rules as already planned. We have been running drag races up here for atv's since 1981, so we have an idea of what we're doing (and if we don't - then we never will!)

It sounds like the fastest of the fast are already making plans to come- TheBom, Mr Horsepower, KenzCycle. If you think your faster- come up and show them!!!

Some Tx and La boys are headed to Quartz Mountain to meet Bigger and DS mike along with Roostin. This place looks cool. Sand beach and some dunes with a MX track with racing on Fri night and a lake, amussment park and golf course. I think they said trails also. Check his post for pics on the Bomb page.
